Stage One Alternators

"Stage One Premier Small Frame Alternator"

Our 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, and 220 amp small frame marine alternators are available in a one-inch foot mount, two-inch foot mount, and 3.15" SADDLE mount configuration. All alternators come with a 14.2 volt internal regulator, a D+ connection, and external field connections. NOW AVAILABLE WITH NEGATIVE FEED FIELD upon request. It is highly recommended that 160, 180, and 220 amp alternators are used with our remote rectifier for continuous high output, especially when used with lithium batteries. All alternators are built and tested in Eliot, Maine USA.

"Stage Two Premier J-180 Large Frame Alternator"

our 12 volt 250 amp alternator is available in a J-180 mount and in a four point pad mount. These alternators have oversized internals and externals. At idle this alternator will output 140 amps! There is a 24 volt model available that will output 85 amps at idle and 110 amps at full output. They can run all day at idle without any issue of overheating! All Stage Two alternators come with a 14.1 (28.2) volt internal regulator, a D+ connection, and external field connections. NOW AVAILABLE WITH NEGATIVE FEED FIELD upon request. There are serpentine pulley kits for the most common marine engines available below to drive this alternator. All alternators are constructed and tested in Eliot, Maine USA.

"Stage Three Pad Mount Alternator"

12 volt 420, 24 volt 250 amp, and 24 volt 275 amp BRUSHLESS marine alternator comes with a three year limited warranty. Due to precise manufacturing and it's brushless design this alternator has an efficiency rating of 80%. One of the highest in the industry. All alternators come with a 14.0 (28.0) volt internal regulator, a D+ connection, and external field connections. Due to the pad mount system this alternator needs to be fix mounted to the engine. Belt tension is then maintained by a mechanical spring loaded tensioner sold below

400 Amp Remote Rectifier

Our 400 amp remote rectifier. Did you know that more than 50% of the heat expelled by an alternator is from the rectifier diodes. That there are rectifier diodes on both the negative and positive side of each stator output. On a 160 amp alternator this makes for 320 watts of heat at full output, just from the rectifiers! By moving the rectifiers to a remote location we remove this heat. The product contains a 400 amp three phase bridge, a 50,000 hour ball bearing fan and a thermal safety switch, just in case. Reports from owners is that you can hold your hand on the alternator at full output! To us, this product is the BIG DEAL of all our product. Constructed and tested in Eliot, Maine USA.

"Smart Charge R210a"

With the advent of battery manufacturers getting more selective of their charging parameters and the arrival of lithium it has made it important to develope better a better regulator. Our new advanced regulator has a lot of what the old regulator had plus more: The R210a has ten algorithms including two for lithium. It has new solid state temp sensors that allow for better alternator temp control. It is now housed in a more tightly sealed case for better moisture rejection. Still has the only available Force-to-Float button on the market. As with all our electronic product it is designed and manufactured in our facility in the USA and comes with a limitted two year warranty.
The R210a has available a helm remote with the same six LEDs and Force-to-Float button as present on the regulator. This remote is shown below.

"Smart Charge R230a"

The R230a is just like the R210a plus it has alternator output current control with a range from 20% to 100% in 16 steps. Uses of this function are many. Say you purchase an alternator too large for your engine to handle comfortably. You can cut back the maximum current output to a point where the engine can run comfortably. Maybe you are on a crossing and see that the belt is loosing its ability to be a belt anymore, cut it back to a point where you are maintaing loads only untill you can install a new belt. You purchase a large alternator thinking you want to purchase a pulley kit, but not yet. Run your larger alternator on the stock half inch belt untill you can get the the pulley kit. HERE IS THE REALLY NEAT USE. The force to float button now has a third function. The first press of the button gives you instant 20% output. We call it "docking current". Invision you are on the way to the harbor under sail after a long weekend on the hook. Time to start the engine to enter the harbor and what happens? The alternator goes full on to charge the used up lithium bank. This would normally be a bad docking experience with the alternator using upwards of 15 h.p.while you manuever at the dock. Switch to "docking output" and limit the alternator to 20% of its full output and continue have a nice day. As with all our electronic product it is designed and manufactured in our facility in the USA and comes with a limitted two year warranty.

"Smart Charge R410a"

65,536 different algorithms. Did I mention we don't give you a magnet and tell you to go ahead, try to set up your regulator? No I forgot that. All of our regulators use hermetically sealed rotary switches. on the R410a they are all 16 position switches. SW1 sets current percentage, SW2 sets Absorption voltage, SW3 sets the formula for the absoorption time, SW4 sets float voltage. If you want to change a parameter you simplt click the related switch to where you want it and the next time it starts charging it is set to the new parameters. The R410a also keeps all the comforts stated above in the R230a.

Crazy but true, there is an R430a. This regulator has all of the options of the R210a, R230a, and R410a but one more thing. The R430a has two 300 amp shunt inputs. One placed on the house battery positive and one on the alternator output. These currents can be monitored on the 2 x 16 remote display. In the future these and other information can be used by future product.

"Smart Counter" Amp Hour Counter

Our amp hour counter is a four channel device. All four channels will display volts and amps of four different locations. Channel one will display volts, amps and amp hours. Obviously you would connect channel one to the battery to be able to see where in the discharge / charge cxcycle the battery is and then use channel two to monitor the current coming from the alternator. This leaves two channels to monitor loads. I pick number three for navigation loads and number four to monitor all of the house loads. This is a really good product to do a quick scan of all that is happening in your electrical sytem.

Our "Pump Timer" is a 12 volt 30 amp DC equipment timer. It is used to limit the run time of pumps and blowers that are not designed for continuous operation such as bathroom blowers, water system pumps, and sewage system pumps. This devise will prevent motor burnout during empty fresh water tank situations, evacuation blowers in the head accidently left on too long, vacuum flush pumps left running because the toilet valve is ajar and sucking air. Run time is adjustable from 1 to 30 minutes with a small screwdriver. Timer resets every time power is removed from the input side of the timer. Simply splice the timer into the 12 volt power leads of the device you want to limit. Designed, manufactured, and tested in Eliot, Maine USA.
